Biography

Sport and exercise has been an integral part of my life since early childhood. From a young age, I was driven by my enjoyment of all things physical be it long distance running, volleyball, soccer (both of which I had the privilege of playing at a semi-professional level) and many others in between.

I graduated from university in 1998, receiving an Honours Degree in Exercise Science (DeMontfort University, UK). This qualification has given me a broad understanding of the human body and its responses to exercise. In 2005, I completed Certificate III, Certificate IV and most recently a Fitness Specialist Diploma at the Fitness Institute of Australia, Sydney.

My love of outdoor training blossomed when I moved to Sydney from the UK in 1999. There is nothing better than a training session in one of the many beautiful locations dotted around Sydney. Her climate allows for outdoor training year-round and, with a few rain-proof locations up my sleeve, bad weather is rarely an obstacle.

I have great passion for understanding each clients goals and take immense satisfaction in helping them achieve them. One-on-one and small-group training allows me to customize each session to suit the individuals needs, be it physical injury, motivation issues or simply likes or dislikes of particular activities.

Having suffered a back injury in 2005, I personally have experienced the difficulties a person faces, both physical and emotional, when their goal does not seem achievable.

I was told by a number of specialists that I would never run again. My recovery has been long and often very frustrating but has shown me that with determination and careful, educated and systematic training just about anything is possible. Today, I am proud to say that nothing is out of my reach.

This experience has inspired me to help others overcome their obstacles, be it injury, lack of physical confidence or weight problem. Or if you just want to take your fitness to another level then we can certainly achieve that together.
